TESTIMONIALS

Pat & Suzanne Bulmer. says:
We had the pleasure of contracting Rannala Construction to add a second floor addition to our 1915 designated heritage home in the summer of 2010. The complete roof and all existing structures were removed. The floor joists were reinforced and a new level floor was laid. New roof trusses were installed creating a new gable end and a large shed dormer to accommodate an 800 square foot master bedroom and bathroom. David Rannala and his outstanding crew were on budget and on time. The workmanship was up to our very high standards, and attention to detail was impressive. Also, at the end of the day the job site was always left clean and neat. We could not have been happier with the results. At the same time, Rannala Construction built a new house on an adjoining lot they recently purchased from us. The two story shingle house was beautifully designed and in keeping with the style of our heritage home. David Rannala was very generous in listening to our input; that they build a home we could be proud to have next door. Consideration for the neighbours on our private lane was amazing; the building site was orderly and clean, and traffic and noise were kept a minimum. The result is a stunning home. We are happy to highly recommend Rannala Construction for any renovation or building project.
Greg Damant, Architect. says:
I would like to express Suzanne's and my gratitude for the excellent work Rannala Construction performed in completing the renovation of our kitchen and dining area. As an architect I have had the opportunity to work with many building construction companies and I can say that none have done finer work than Rannala. The time you spent with us during the design phase was invaluable in terms of helping us anticipate the practical realities of translating ideas and aspirations into build-able solutions. Your time, patience, creativity and collaborative approach were very much appreciated. Any building renovation work is full of difficulty and unexpected surprises during construction. Our project, which involved the insertion of a modern, minimalist kitchen within the fabric of a 100-year-old house, posed an even greater challenge than most. You and your crew treated every detail and challenge with care and attention. Without your forethought and craftsmanship we would not have achieved the seamless integration of old and new that we now enjoy. Your crew was unfailing helpful, polite, careful and clean. The excellent quality of their work was matched by their work ethic. Please do not hesitate to use our names as references for your future clients.
Chris & Susan Bing says:
We were very fortunate to hire Rannala Construction to do remedial work on our home several years ago. The contractors who had carried out renovations for us years earlier had “cut a corner” and not raised the foundation of the house high enough around the patio area. David Rannala, whose company was doing a major renovation down the street, was willing to come by and give us a quote to raise the foundation. David and his carpenters did the work promptly and to exacting standards, and then Dave beautifully rebuilt our stairs to the patio from special cedar planks. In addition to the high standard of workmanship and great work ethics shown by David and his carpenters, David is excellent at communicating what needs to be done and why. He is also an honest man with great integrity. We have since retained Rannala Construction to build the interior of an office we were about to lease. David and his crew carried out the work efficiently and to a high standard under considerable time pressure. Three years after Rannala Construction worked on the office we were leasing, we retained them again to do all interior construction work on an office we had purchased in the Reflections Building on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Langford, B.C. The work was carried out efficiently and to David’s usual exacting standards. Since moving into our new office, we have received many compliments about our office, particularly the finishing work. Dave Rannala suggested we use maple trim in our office to match the doors we had selected. The trim work turned out beautifully and to say we were pleased with Rannala Construction’s work would be an understatement. If we were ever to build a house, Rannala Construction would be our first choice for a contractor. The three times Rannala Construction worked for us, the work was done on time, on budget and in a very professional manner. We have referred Rannala Construction to our friends and clients and will continue to do so.
Jed Grieve, Cook Culture says:
It’s been several months since Rannala Construction completed work of our beautiful teaching kitchen at Cook Culture and I wanted to properly thank you. Your design consultation, planning, budgeting and execution could not have been better. I recognize that by having a pre-existing friendship you could have made our job less of a priority for you but the way in which you met every deadline and actually made most other trades have to work overtime to keep up exemplified your professionalism. You and your team are truly service centric and rightfully deserve the great reputation that you’ve built, I highly recommend you.
